Now available through PSP-Flevoland: Backup-cartridges!

A backup-cartridges enables you to store games on a Micro-SD card and play them straight from the card. The cartridges are working both on the NDS Classic and DS Lite without any modifications necessary. Just fill the Micro-SD card using the PC and the included cardreader, put it in the cartridge and insert the cartridge in the DS. After power-on, a menu with the games appears on the screen. The games can be easily selected and start immediately.

It is also possible to store a homebrew program on the card, which enables you to play videos and music!

Available cards are the Acekard2 and the Supercard DSOne. Both cards support SDHC memory cards which makes possible the use of the largest cards on the market (at this moment 16Gb!!!). Both cards are shipped as a set with a USB2.0 cardreader for Micro-SD cards only, and a Micro-SD card with the capacity you choose. An 8Gb card supports about 300 games.

Acekard2

The Acekard2 is a new-born star, supporting all possibilities of the more expensive cards. Because the manufacturer is very active developing new software, few to none problems are known. New games are supported with new software versions asap, usually before they appear on the market. One of the reasons the Acekard2 is slightly cheaper than its competitors is because a software cd isn't included. You have to download the software from the manufacturer's website. The big advantage of this method is that you always start with the newest software version available.

Supercard DSOne

This newest member of the Supercard family continues the tradition that Supercard already set with the first GBA cartridges. High quality, high compatibility, comfort of use and a lot of additional functionality make this card the right choice for gamers who want more. The Supercard is slightly more expensive, but is shipped in a neat box including software cd.

It is advisable to pay the manufacturer's website a regular visit to download the newest software version. Before the first use, you have to load the operating system of the cartridge on the Micro-SD card. You can obtain the operating system from the cd or by downloading it. The latest version of the software is also available through the Updates section of the site.
